  Personal Statement

I am Samuel Emeka MBAH, a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Employment Relations and Human Resource Management at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. My research experise lies in comparative HRM, with a focus on multinational HRM, diversity, public sector HRM, public policy, governance and development studies. My Ph.D. thesis investigated organisational culture and HR practices in multinational oil companies in Nigeria, contributing significantly to the field of International and Comparative HRM. Committed to teaching excellence and scholarly research,  I employ innovative pedagogies including storey telling to foster engaging learning environments that promotes intellectual growth and optimal student outcomes. With over nine years of postdoctoral experience, I have developed strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. My academic portfolio includes publications in scholarly journals, teaching diverse students, and supervising projects, with recognition  for excellence. My expertise includes developing and teaching courses, publishing research, and student mentorship etcetera.

• Appointed member of the Mountain Top University(MTU) curriculum development committee, a part of the Brainstorming and Empowering Mountain Top University to excel workshop initiatives, held March, 2015.
• University of Lagos Distance Learning Institute (DLI), Business Administration Award of Excellence, 2017.
• Journal Reviewer (Journal of the Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Jos, Maiden edition, 2025).
• Notably, I contributed to the development of Edutech360, a local content cutting-edge computer software innovation for classroom technology as part of a research team. This achievement was recognised through its selection for exhibition at Eagle square, Abuja (November 11, 2024), although the teams participation was ultimately cancelled due to logistic issues.
