A. Personal Statement
I am a professor of Insurance who specialises in property insurance, economics of insurance and insurance marketing. My works focus on leveraging insurance mechanism as a basic risk management technique. With so much risks in existence both natural and man-made, and new ones emerging, and with dwindling government support especially in the area of social securities, I am committed to promoting insurance consciousness as a way of handling the financial consequences of those risks. This is done through lectures, research and publications, in partnership with relevant professional bodies and industry practitioners. My goal is to make insurance appealing to all including the underserved in the society as a way of addressing some social and economic challenges that threaten the well-being of our people.
