PERSONAL STATEMENT

I am an early-career researcher and faculty member in Risk Management and Insurance, with a focused interest in Digitalization, Risk management, Insurtech, insurance inclusion and insurance penetration in emerging markets. My research explores how digital innovations such as mobile platforms, data analytics, and AI can enhance access to insurance, especially among underserved populations. My ongoing doctoral research explores how digital platforms, mobile insurance, and data-driven underwriting can drive greater insurance uptake among youths and SMEs. By employing mixed-method approaches ranging from empirical modeling to field-based behavioral experiments. I investigate how trust, awareness, affordability, and product design influence demand for insurance among the youths. As a faculty member and associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), I am passionate about bridging the gap between theory and practice by conducting research with real world impact for the insurance industry.
